Leveraging years of commercial sales experience as an insurance producer, Tyler provides a personalized and dedicated approach to helping create momentum, establish accountability and, ultimately, exceed revenue goals for the agencies and producers he aims to serve. Tyler has more than 25 years of experience in commercial insurance, innovation and implementation of sales training systems and processes, development, and leadership within regional, national and academic organizations - he is considered, and has been recognized, as an innovative and influential leader in the field of commercial insurance.
Tyler attended the University of Kentucky where he earned B.A. in Public Service & Leadership and was three-time letterman with the University of Kentucky Football team. Upon graduating from UK, he went to work for Federated Insurance as a commercial producer in Western Kentucky. After spending five years with Federated, he was hired as a commercial producer for Liberty Mutual in Memphis, TN. In 2003, Tyler left the captive insurance world and was hired by CMS Insurance Inc. (an independent agency network) as a Regional Marketing Manager; he was responsible for managing independent agencies in four states (KY, TN, IN and MO). In 2006, Tyler developed the CAP concept as a humble service offering within the CMS portfolio; however, due to the growth and success of the CAP program, Commercial Agent Pathway LLC was formed in 2024 as its own free-standing entity.
Outside of insurance, Tyler was a successful high school football coach for 25 years and was able to have a positive impact on the young men he had the privilege to coach. His love of family and his experience in building relationships professionally, and through coaching, helps to bring a unique perspective to the CAP Producer Development Program.
